Why a digital agency built Tara Card
At Cortex Agency, we've spent years helping businesses level up their digitalization, automation, and African brand identity: AI automation, workflows, logos, websites, mobile apps, visual identities. But at every trade show, every client meeting, the same ritual came back: the paper business card, crumpled, quickly thrown away, quickly forgotten.
We watched NFC technology transform everyday life elsewhere in the world, without it being designed for our uses: mobile payments, online shops, local social media, community WhatsApp groups. We decided to build it ourselves.
Tara Card is the result of two years of prototyping: a premium, hand-engraved card that collects an Orange Money or Mobile Money payment, opens a shop, and just as simply shares a profile and social media: Facebook, LinkedIn, Github, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more.
